Camping Lascrouts becomes Camping*** CAP PYRENEES

Val d'Azun, a welcoming mountain holiday destination

Due to its ideal location in the mid-mountain in Hautes-Pyrénées, at the edge of the Pyrenees National Park, 10 min from Argelès-Gazost, Camping Lascrouts makes an ideal base for active holidays and cultural breaks.

Thirst for the Mountains

At your leisure, departing from the campsite or the surrounding mountains, you can enjoy a family outing or a more energetic hike, mountain bike ride or horse ride on the countless signposted paths (including the GR10) to discover the local fauna (marmots, birds of prey…) and flora, as well as the lakes (Estaing, Le Tech Dam, Lake Suyen...), rivers and glaciers in the Pyrenean territory.
Road cyclists can take on the legendary Soulor and Aubisque mountain passes.
In the winter, the cross-country skiing and snowshoeing resorts of Couraduque and Le Soulor offer a vast ski area just a few minutes from the Campsite.
And all that in an exceptional setting with amazing scenery...

Thirst for Sensations

Aucun is a paragliding spot that’s well-known among practitioners of the sport. Offering maiden flights, introductory and advanced classes, the schools of Aucun will give you a warm welcome and untrammelled views of our mountains (and our campsite!).
Partner offers available at Reception.
Fans of canyoning, river boating, caving, rock climbing...Les Gaves will be your playground. You can enjoy a range of outings, with a guide to accompany you for your safety.

Thirst for Culture

At the village of Aucun, you can visit the listed church of St Felix, built in the 11th century and of Romanesque origin, the listed 15th-century Tower, and Lavedan Mountain Museum.
Typical villages like Bun with its henhouses, Arrens Marsous and Pouey Laün Chapel, Argeles-Gazost with its park and thermal baths...and many other destinations in the neighbouring valley, like Saint-Savin, with its Romanesque abbey church and the chapel of Notre Dame de Piétat, or Cauterets and its station (a listed historic monument).
The world-famous Marian city of Lourdes and its Sanctuaries, Bernadette’s prison or the Castle Fort and its Pyrenean Museum.

Thirst for Gastronomy

Val d’Azun’s many small food producers, whom you can meet on their farms or at village markets, sell a range of treats including honey, jam, apple juice, cider, foie gras and of course flavoursome meat and delicious Tomme de Montagne cheese.

Thirst for Relaxation

After all those sporty, gourmet and cultural excursions, how about enjoying some family fun at the nearby swimming pool at Arrens Marsous (2.5Km)? Or take a relaxing break at the Jardin des Bains water fun centre in Argelès-Gazost (10 minutes away) or the nearby thermal baths.
